Fontaine Academy of Dance has been serving the Duxbury community and beyond since 1991, offering a diverse variety of dance classes for all ages. Originally founded by Denise Fontaine the academy has been a beloved part of the South Shore community. With a strong background in dance and a passion for nurturing young talent, Alicia Boyle took the reins in 2019 and infused the studio with fresh energy and creativity. Dancers from Duxbury and surrounding towns have danced their way through Fontaine Academy over the years, earning countless awards and accolades along the way, including recognition as the Best Dance Studio on the South Shore. Whether your child is just starting their dance journey or already dreaming of a career in dance, Alicia and the talented team at Fontaine Academy provide a fun, supportive, and inspiring environment where dancers of all ages can thrive.
Meet Alicia Boyle
Owner/Instructor
Alicia Boyle began dancing at the age of three, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion for movement and expression. By thirteen, Alicia was already assisting in dance classes, sparking a love for teaching that would shape their future. During middle school, Alicia trained with the Boston Ballet and DanceWorks, and was a member of the Boston Ballet’s renowned production of The Nutcracker. High school consisted of daily classes and focus in all genres of dance. A highlight during that time included auditioning for and being selected as a VIP assistant with Dance Olympus, leading to an unforgettable summer touring the country.
Following high school, Alicia pursued her passion for dance at Roger Williams University. As a firm believer in continuous learning, Alicia has attended numerous professional conferences and courses over the years, staying at the forefront of dance education. With 20 years of teaching experience and now in the sixth year of owning Fontaine Academy of Dance, Alicia finds joy in connecting with students and sharing the beauty of dance. She cherishes the unique moments that each age group brings to the studio, fostering inspiration and growth in every dancer that comes into the studio.
